Daniel Ellsberg (1931–2023) was a former U.S. military analyst, economist, and whistleblower best known for leaking the Pentagon Papers, which exposed the government’s lies about the Vietnam War. A former nuclear war strategist for the RAND Corporation, Ellsberg later became one of the most vocal critics of U.S. military policy.
